Career
He made his debut for Eerste Divisie side Jong PSV in 2015. In the 2015-2006 season, the football player joined PSV. He used to play for South Carolina Heerenveen from Heerenveen before he moved to Eindhoven. Albert is from a long family of football players.
His father is former international striker Guðmundur Benediktsson.
Alberts mother is former international Kristbjörg Ingadóttir, daughter of former international striker Ingi Björn Albertsson, who also held the record for most goals in the Icelandic top division from 1987 until 2012. Father of Ingi and Alberts great-grandfather was former Air Corps Milan and Arsenal striker and later Minister of Finance Albert Guðmundsson, Icelands first professional football player.
