Zhukov is an alumni of Harvard University.
He is the First Deputy Chairman of the State Duma of the Federal Assembly and is also the current President of the Russian Olympic Committee. He is the president of the Russian Olympic Committee and became an International Olympic Committee member at the 125th International Olympic Committee Session in Buenos Aires in September 2013.
