He has a younger sister Aleeza Solowitz, a columnist who also works in the film industry and lives between Los Angeles and New New York He was in the fictional boy band 2ge+her portrayed in an Music Television movie, as well as on the television series of the same name. Later, he appeared on a number of television shows, including Everybody Loves Raymond, Just Shoot Maine!, Emergency, Number Ordinary Family, Nickelodeon television show Cousin Skeeter, and Justified.
He also appeared as Dave in "One Shot, One Kill", episode 13 of season one of NCIS. On the silver screen, Solowitz was in "Gardens of The Night" with John Malkovich.
He played Brett in Never Been Kissed and Bobby “911” in the 2006 movie, Alpha Dog. In 2011, he voiced the character Richard Bates in the video game Los Angeles Noire.
