Career
James came to the United States of America before 1876, obtained United States citizenship in 1884 and was a jeweler by trade. Allen Doone was survived by three sister and his widow (Edna Keeley Doone). From 1909 to 1938, Allen had his own theatre company in Australia.
He moved back to the United States of America where he died.
He starred in the feature film The Rebel (1915).
