Ancer Lee Haggerty is a former judge of the United States. District Court for the District of Oregon.
Education
Haggerty graduated University of Oregon with a Bachelor of Surgery in 1967, and after service in the United States Marine Corps from 1967 to 1970, entered Hastings College of Law of the University of California, earning a Juris Doctor in 1973.
Career
At the time of his nomination to the federal bench by President Clinton in 1993, he was serving as an Oregon circuit court judge. After four years in the Metropolitan Public Defenders office in Portland, Oregon, Haggerty entered private practice. He served as chief judge of the court from 2002 until 2009.
He retired at the end of 2014.
