Career
He was selected in the fourth round, 104th overall, by the Jets in the 2013 National Hockey League Entry Draft. Copp played collegiate hockey at the University of Michigan and was the Wolverines" captain in his junior year. Copp finished his college hockey career, with 81 points (40 goals, 41 assists) in 107 games, including 11 power-play goals and five shorthanded goals.
Copp opted to forgo his senior year of college hockey eligibility and signed a three-year entry-level contact with the Jets on March 26, 2015.
He played his first National Hockey League game on April 11, in which he also picked up his first career point.
