Brunila has previously worked as President and Chief Executive Officer of the Finnish Forest Industries Federation, the Finnish Ministry of Finance as Director General of the Economics Department, and held various positions, at the Bank of Finland, the European Commission and the Labour Institute for Economic Research.
She is also a member of the foundation board of Aalto University.
