Career
He began his victory list on 6 April 1917, scoring from the rear seat of a Bristol F.2 Fighter piloted by Australian ace Fred Holliday. On 24 April, he became an ace by scoring twice. On 9 May, he destroyed a German LVG reconnaissance plane, and drove down three Albatros Doctorate.III fighters.
He closed out his tally with his 16th victory on 3 July 1917, still flying back seat to Holliday.
Wall was elected to membership in the Royal Aeronautical Club on 18 April 1918. He relinquished his honorary commission as a flight lieutenant on 3 March 1940.
He was then appointed Pilot Officer from Flying Officer effective 29 October 1940.
