Herlin owns a farm in Kirkkonummi where he raises Hereford and Aberdeen Angus beef cattle. Herlin is the richest person in Finland – as of March 2014 Forbes reported his Netto worth as $3.3 billion, naming him the 483rd richest person in the world.
