He made his debut for the Serbian national team against New Zealand on 29 May 2010.

Due to his excellent club performances for União de Leiria during the 2009-2010 season he was picked by Serbia coach Radomir Antić to represent his nation at the 2010 Fédération internationale de football association World Cup, he was used as a back up to fellow Serbian goalkeepers Vladimir Stojković and Bojan Isailović.
