The purpose of this book is to expound the basic ideas of modern Jewish religous thought. We do not attempt to discuss all the problems of Jewish theology which occupy the attention of modern rabbis. Specifically, the problems relating to Jewish law and national aspirations are touched upon only briefly. Our main interest is in the conception of God and in His relation to man.
