He also made numerous appearances as Doctor Hubie Binder in the United States television series Maude and as officer Bernstein on Eight Is Enough. Gelman also played Professor Albert Einstein in the real-time strategy game Red Alert 2, and appeared as Terry Spelman in the X-rated 1976 film Alice in Wonderland with Kristine DeBell, and the adult comedy Chatterbox (1977) starring Candice Rialson.
