Studied at University College of Wales, Aberystwyth. St. John’s College, Cambridge.
Examiner in music for Tonic Solfa College, Royal College of Music, and the Central Welsh Board. Has had considerable experience as Conductor of Musical Festivals, and Adjudicator at the chief Eisteddfodau, including the Welsh National. Conducted the following performances of his own works — David and Saul, at the Merthyr National Eisteddfod.
Ark of the Covenant, at St. James Hall, London. The Legend of St. David, at the Carnarvon National Eisteddfod, and at the Queen’s Hall, London. The Psalm of Life, at the Crystal Palace and at the Cardiff Festival.
The Maiden’s Lake, at the Llangollen National Eisteddfod, and Job, at the Rhyl National Eisteddfod. Professor in Music, and head of the Department of Music at University College, Aberystwyth, since 1899. Mus. Bac. (Of Cambridge University).
