YOUNG, William Henry was born on October 20, 1863 in London. Great-grandson of Abraham Young, banker and common councilman of the City of London.

Education

Studied at City of London School. Peterhouse, Cambridge (Fellow, 1886-1892). Master of Arts; Doctor of Science (Cambridge).

Career

Lecturer at Girton College since 1887. Chief Examiner to Central Welsh Board, 1902-1905. Examiner to Universities of Cambridge, London, and Wales at various times. Resident for many years at German and Italian universities; Lecturer in Higher Analysis at the University of Liverpool.

Membership

Fellow of the Royal Society. Club: University, Liverpool.
