ANDREYEVA, Mariya was born in 1868.
1894 graduate Moscow Conservatory.
Took part in 1905 Revol, provided financial support for Communist Party and undertook Party missions for Lenin. 1906-1912, as Gorky's secretary, toured several European countries and United States of America. 1912 returned illegally to Russia, where she was arrested but later permitted to resume stage career.
After 1917 October Revol was comissar for theaters and entertainments in Petrograd. 1919 helped found, 1919-1926 performed at Bolshoy Drama Theater, Petrograd. From 1894 acted under Stanislavsky at Social of Art and Literature.
From 1898 performed at Moscow Arts Theater. 1931-1948 director, Moscow Scientists and Scholars’ Club. Roles: Lelya in Ostrovskiy’s Snegurochka (The Snow-Maiden).
