1897 graduate Saint St. Petersburg Military Medical Academy.
1898—1900 served as army physician with an infantry regiment 1900-1903 did research on physiology under Pavlov. 1903 defended doctor’s thesis on “A Study of Electrical Phenomena in Living Tissues”.
In same year worked as dissector, Chair of Physiology, Women's Medical Institute, Saint St. Petersburg. 1904-1909 associate professor, Saint St. Petersburg Military Medical Academy. 1909 professor, Chair of Pharmacology, Tomsk then Khar’kov University.
From 1910 professor, Chair of Physiology, Medical Faculty, Kiev University. 1921-1935 head, from 1935 professor, Chair of Physiology, Kiev Medical Institute. 1936-1941 head, Chair of Physiology, 2nd Kiev Medical Institute.
Specialized in electrophysiology. 1896 published article on applications of theory of electrolytic dissociation proposed by Arrhenius to explain the origin of electrical phenomena in the living organism. Made first attempt to explain muscular demarcational currents from the viewpoint of modem physiochemistry and outlined theory of ionic excitation.
In his opinion the electrical currents in living tissues (passive and active currents) result from concentrations in the tissue of metabolic products (carbonic, lactic and phosphoric acid). 1903 elaborated this theory and used it to explain electrical phenomena in the glands, in the organs of animals and in plants. 1906 developed condcnsor theory of electrical stimulation of living tissues and provided a physiochemical explanation of the stimulator)' effect of electric current.
His ideas were further developed by other physiologists. Considerable sci interest was aroused by his work on electrogastrography, which dealt with the electrical phenomena associated with the motor and secretory activity of the stomach. Designed numerous electrophysiological instruments which were produced at special workshops in Kiev.
There is no solid or tangible evidence for God nor a logical argument for God. The existence of God is taken on faith and not by evidence.
Marxism–Leninism as the only truth could not, by its very nature, become outdated.
