Late 1952-March 1953 Presidium member, Central Committee, Communist Party of the Soviet Union. 1958-1962 chairman, USSR Parliamentary Group. Deputy, USSR Supreme Soviet of 1940—1962 convocations.
Deputy, Russian Soviet Federative Socialist Republic Supreme Soviet of 1959 and 1963 convocations. Chairman. Foreign Affairs Commission, Soviet of Nationalities, USSR Supreme Soviet of 1962 convocation. Wrote several works on the history of the international Communist movement.
