Always adhered to Party general line. At one time sided with Pokrovskiy’s historical school but from 1930's actively campaigned against Pokrovskiy's historical teaching. At 20th Communist Party of the Soviet Union Congress unmasked dogmatism and opportunism in Soviet historiography of the Stalin era, denounced the Stalin personality cult and the whitewashing of Pokrovskiy.
1957 her journal “Voprosy istorii” was sharply criticized by the Party for liberal trends in the assessment of Soviet historiography in the 1930's and 1940’s and for revising some essential tenets of Soviet and Communist Party of the Soviet Union history. Represented Soviet historiography at lnt Congresseso of Historians in Warsaw (1933-1934) and Rome (1955).
