From 1940 deputy commander in charge of aviation, Red Army General Staff. From 1939 candidate member, Central Committee, All-Union Communist Party (Bolsheviks). Deputy, USSR Supreme Soviet of 1st convocation.
1941 arrested by People’s Commissariat of Internal Affairs.
