1911-1912 actor. New Drama Theater, Saint St. Petersburg. 1918-1920 stage director, Khar’kov Theater under North.N. Sinel’nikov. Then stage director at theaters in Krasnodar and Novorossiysk, at Khar’kov Young Playgoers’ Theater and Moscow Comedy Theater.
1928-1938 stage director, Kiev, Rostov and Leningrad theaters. 1938-1941 chief stage director, Franko Theater. 1942-1944 artistic director, Kuybyshev Theater.
1944-1947 artistic director, Directorate of (touring) Frontline Theaters, Moscow. 1947-1950 chief stage director, Kiev Musical Comedy Theater. 1927-1952 taught drama.
