Began acting with amateur groups in Yelisavetgrad. 1907 stage debut; actor and stage director with South. Maksimovich’s troupe, then from 1913 with “Russian Conversation” Social Theater, L’vov. 1917-1919 at Kiev Young Theater.
1919 directed New Theater in Vinnitsa (from 1920 Franko Theater). Actor, stage director and director, above theater. From 1938 taught stagecraft at Kiev Institute of Stagecraft.
Also did film work; Roles: Kopystka in Kulish’s “97”. Maloshtan in Mikitenko’s “Dictatorship”. Schweik in “The Adventures of the Good Soldier Schwcik”. after HaSek.
