Fought in World War 1. 1917 with Red Guards. From 1918 in Red Army.
1925-1941 rose from command of battalion to command of infantry corporations 1941-1945 commander, 3rd Army on Bryansk Front, then 47th and 40th Armies on 1st Ukraine Front. 1947 assistant commander in chief of Occupation Forces in Austria and deputy commander, Belorussian and Ciscarpathian Military district.
Delegation at 1958 and 1960 Communist Party Ukraine Congresses.
