(Excerpt from The Historical Evidence, for the Resurrectio...)
Excerpt from The Historical Evidence, for the Resurrection of Jesus Christ, Vol. 21 The present essay is intended to be an inquiry into the historical evidence for the Resurrection of the Lord. It attempts to discuss this with adequate fulness, but without transcending the boundaries of historical research, and passing into the region of psychology and philosophy, or dealing with points which are not important for its actual purpose. It is, however, desirable to begin by pointing out the existence of another method of studying. in order to draw attention to its advantages and limitations, and also to indicate what can and cannot be done by the method actually followed.
