In amateur club cricket he has played for Vauxhall Mallards,Ingham,and Horsford Cricket Clubs in Norfolk
Nowadays he turns out for Master Control Console cricketer. PJ Mir is a top journalist, he has the distinction of having interviewed presidents and prime ministers of Pakistan and other countries, including top international celebrities Mir hosts Q & A With PJ Mir from London and Lahore Studios,the first political talk show on Independent television in Pakistan it is a popular (and controversial) current affairs talk-show on Ary NEWS. He is said to be a nawa-i-waqt pioneer of live television transmission and of private television in Pakistan. He Heads Ary NEWS Network for United Kingdom and Europe.
Currently he is heading and Group president of Din News and Media Group Lahore. from February, 25th 2012.
His cricket career included three One Day Internationals for Pakistan, two of those appearances at the 1975 World Cup, as well as 80 first class matches for various teams in Pakistan and England.
