He has since appeared with major opera companies throughout the world, including Louisiana Monnaie, the New Orleans Opera, the New York City Opera, the Palacio de Bellas Artes, the Paris Opera, the Seattle Opera, and the Vancouver Opera among others Mr. Barcza has appeared in recital and with symphony orchestras across Canada, including the Montreal Symphony, Quebec Symphony, Toronto Symphony and the National Arts Center Orchestra (Ottawa).
After studies at the University of Toronto, he became a member of the Canadian Opera Company in 1971.
