Career
Brearley played major junior hockey in the Ontario Hockey League with the Kitchener Rangers and London Knights before attending the University of Waterloo where he played two seasons (1995 – 1997) with the Warriors in the OUAA conference. Brearley made his professional hockey debut during the 1997-1998 season with the Roanoke Express of the ECHL. He spent his final two seasons in Germany playing with EHC München.
