Career
He started his career in 1992 at Essendon but left the club at the end of 1992. After not playing the following year he was recruited to the Sydney Swans from Essendon at pick 6 in the 1994 pre-season draft. Following the completion of his American Federation of Labor-Congress career in 2000, Filandia joined Portuguese Melbourne Football Club as its captain and assistant coach.
He is currently the runner for the Western Bulldogs.
