Career
He turned professional in June 1955 and continued to play for the youth team until 1956. After two years of National Service he returned to the club in 1958 and was third-choice goalkeeper after Jack Kelsey and Jim Standen. He did not play any more matches for Arsenal and in October 1960 left the club on a free transfer.
He later played for Southend United, Watford and Huddersfield Town, before moving to South Africa.
