He is Professor of International Relations, Royal Melbourne Institute of Technology University. Nautilus’ Pegasus Program gives at-risk youth activities about sailing, oceanography, and teamwork on the 45-foot Pegasus research vessel. The Institute runs an information service in Pyongyang.
He was a co-founding member of Friends of the Earth Australia in Melbourne from 1973 to 1975 and First Director of the Environmental Liaison Centre to the United Nations Environment Program established at Nairobi, Kenya, 1975-1976.
