Career
His regular position was at full back. Jones began his football career at Wolverhampton Wanderers, but was signed up by Manchester United in 1955. He was part of the famous Busby Babes squad, but only made one appearance for United before being sold to Wrexham in 1959.
In seven years at Wrexham, Jones made an impressive 224 appearances, and even scored a credible seven goals.
In 1966, Jones was transferred to Stockport County, where he played for two years, making 54 appearances, before moving on to Altrincham.
