He was born in Zürich and represented the club LC Zürich.

Career

He competed in 200 metres and 4 × 100 metres relay at the 1960 Summer Olympics, and in 400 metres and 4 × 400 metres relay at the 1964 Summer Olympics. He did not reach the final on either occasion. His personal best times were 10.4 seconds in the 100 metres (1961).
