Career
His lyrics are often characterized by interesting puns and word plays. Besides his solo career, he has been in various formations like SuperJeg (duo, 2002-2003), and De Eneste To (2010-2011) In the beginning of the 2000s, Peter Sommer and Carsten Valentin Lassen formed the popular rock duo Superjeg (stylized as SuperJeg). Sommer was lead vocals and played also bass, whereas Lassen was played guitar and keyboards.
The duo utilized many double meanings and puns in their musical output and released two albums: Alternate er ego in 2002 and Øst/Vest in 2003 both on Auditorium label.
They split soon after with both members continuing a solo career. In 2006, Carsten Valentin Lassen released his solo album Chancernes Allé on Universal Music.
After split, Sommer released his debut solo debut På den anden side that cracked the Top 5 in Denmark. His first solo single "Valby Bakke" was picked by P3 for Ugens Uundgåelige (week"s pick), but it never charted.
His first charting single was "Rødt kort" from his 2008 album Til rotterne, til kragerne, til hundene.
In 2010, Peter Sommer formed the duo De Eneste To (meaning The only two) with Simon Kvamm. The duo released the self-titled album De eneste to to critical acclaim. lieutenant topped the Danish Chart.
