He attended the University of California and in 2004 was named a first team All-American and captained the University of California"s National Collegiate Athletic Association championship team
In 2003 he set the school"s all-time single-season stroke average at 70.98 and played on the United States. Palmer Cup team that lost 14-10 to Europe. Tomasulo turned professional in 2004. 2005 was the only year he played on the Canadian Tour but Tomasulo continued to play on the Nationwide Tour until 2008.
In 2008, 7 top-10 finishes helped him earn $296,704 and finish 11th on the money list.
By finishing in the top 25 of the Nationwide Tour"s money list, he earned his Professional Golf Association Tour card for 2009. He struggled on the Professional Golf Association Tour, making only 5 of 25 cuts and losing his tour card.
He played on the Nationwide Tour again in 2010, winning the Ford Wayne Gretzky Classic in July. He finished the year 23rd on the money list and earned his 2011 Professional Golf Association Tour card.
He battled injuries in 2011 and 2012 before returning to the Web.com Tour (formerly the Nationwide Tour).
