Petr FEDOSEEV, USSR Philosopher. Doctor of Philosophical Science; Professor; Director, Institute of Philosophy, USSR Academy of Science, since 1955; full member, USSR Academy of Science, since 1960; associate, Institute of Philosophy, USSR Academy, Member of the Central Committee of the Communist Party, since 1961 member, Communist Party, since 1939. Hero of Soviet Union; three Order of Lenin; several Order of Red Banner; other orders; medals.


FEDOSEEV, Petr was born in 1908.


1930 graduated Gorky Pedagogical Institute.


1936-1941 of Science. 1941-1945 worked for Central Committee of the Communist Party of the Soviet Union. 1945-1949 Chief Editor, journal “Bolshevik”.

1955-1959 Editor, journal “Voprosy filosofii” (Problems of Philosophy). 1946-1960 corresponding member, USSR Academy of Science. 1956 attended Congress of Sociologists, Amsterdam.

Since 1958 Chairman, Soviet-Hungarian Friendship Society. Acting Academy Secretary,Department of Economics, Philosophical and Legal Science, USSR Academy of Science. PubL: “Marksizm-leninizm о religii i yee preodolenii” (Marxism-Leninism on Religion and its Overthrow) (1941).

“Istorichesky materializm — nauka о zakonakh razvitiya obshchestva” (Historical Materialism, the Science of the Laws of the DevelopTranscaucasian Military District. Religious moral codes pervert people outside their group as less moral. Thus, religion is socially divisive and its effect is harmful for society.


Every Soviet citizen has rights to express his or her opinion, but it should be in accordance with the general interests of the society.
