Returned to Russia with Lenin, 1917. Joined the Bolsheviks, August 1917. Member of the Executive Committee of the Ural oblsoviet, January-December 1918.
Participated in the murder of the Tsar and his family and the burning of the corpses. Ambassador to Poland in the 1920s. Assassinated at the Warsaw railway station by the young White Russian Boris Koverda.
