Career
In 1959 he appeared in the war film Green Harvest. In 1985 he was awarded the Grand prix du théâtre du Syndicat de la critique for his performance at the Théâtre de la Tempête. He also received acclaim for a 1993 production of Samuel Beckett"s Waiting for Godot at the same theatre, which he directed.
In 2005 he directed a production of Tennessee Williams"s Sweet Bird of Youth, which starred Claudia Cardinale.
