Career
He has been a Professor at Stanford University (United States of America) since 1990. Buc"s book, The Dangers of Ritual, garnered a lot of attention from early medieval historians for its commentary on the subject of ritual. From September 2011 onward he will be Professor at the University of Vienna, Institut für Geschichte and Institut für Österreichische Geschichtsforschung.
