He became a member as a master"s son of the Antwerp Guild of Saint Luke on his return to Antwerp in November, 1624.

According to Houbraken (who called him simply "Momper" in a poem about the members of the Bentvueghels), he joined the Bent with the name "Eervrugt" and was a landscape painter from Antwerp.
