Background
Phillip was born in Paris, Texas, United States.
Phillip was born in Paris, Texas, United States.
Phillip Lovin is a Stolen Valor military impostor. In 2001 in North Carolina he appeared at a Veteran’s Day celebration posing as a retire USMC Colonel. He did enlist in the Marine Corps in 1987 but was discharged after slightly one month of basic training.
He is an FDNY impostor claiming that he had been a Fire Captain injured at the World Trade Center on September 11, 2001. He has appeared at a number of celebrations as such over the years. He had been an EMS member of several paid and volunteer departments in the Carolinas, but never was, nor could he have ever been, a member of the FDNY.
He claims to have Bachelor’s and Master’s degrees in Psychology and two Doctorates in Theology and Ministry. He is listed as one of the April 2007 Graduates of the Andersonville on-line Theological Seminary in the Seminary’s Newsletter. Try to find evidence of his claimed degrees from any other institution.
He gives counseling advice yet on January 19, 2011 he received a summary suspension as a Licensed Chemical Dependency Counselor Intern from the Texas Department of State Health Services. His suspension cited “25 TAC 140.430,” relating to his criminal history. If anyone reading this has paid Lovin for counseling services please contact the Kerr County (Texas) Adult Probation Department.
Although he claims to have been a hero New York City Fire Captain, Lovin burned down his house in Mountain Home, TX on March 20, 2010 and then made a $200,000 insurance claim for his loss. He later pleaded guilty to arson and insurance fraud in exchange for a sweet deal of deferred adjudication from Kerr County, TX in which he would not serve one day in jail, but received ten years of supervised probation in addition to fines, fees, and community service. Being a complete loser he violated his probation with only months to go. He spent about a month in Kerr County jail before he bonded out. As a result he received a guilty conviction of arson and insurance fraud, but still not one day in jail. Instead he got another five years of probation. Even though he is now a convicted felon, he is still out and free and living in Honey Grove, TX. This is only part of a criminal history which goes back to 1988 in North Carolina.
And he is still spewing bull shit about himself on Youtube and Vimeo videos.
This is just the tip of the iceberg. If you have contact with this loser, beware. If you suspect him of criminal activities contact local authorities.
Phillip Lovin's demeanor, care, and compassion make him a clergyman second to none, and the level of trust instilled in him by his church through the REAP NYC program demonstrates that.
In his down time, Phillip Lovin prefers to go scuba diving with his friends and family.
