Phillis Levin graduated from Sarah Lawrence College in 1976, and The Johns Hopkins University in 1977.
Career
Her poems were published in Poets for, Poetry, Ploughshares, AGNI, She was Associate Professor of English at The University of Maryland, College Park, is visiting professor in the graduate writing program at New York University, and is the poet-in-residence and teaches at Hofstra University. She is an elector of the American Poets’ Corner of the Cathedral Church of Saint John the Divine, and the co-director (with Vijay Seshadri) of the Sarah Lawrence Language Exchange. They live in New New York
