Career
Tomney died in his hometown of Reading, Pennsylvania in 1892 at the age of 28 due to a lung infection brought on by Pulmonary Phithisis (tuberculosis), and is interred at Aulenbach"s Cemetery in Mount Penn, Pennsylvania.
