Pierre Legendre, Canadian Ecology educator. Achievements include research in mathematically analyzing the organization of ecological communities through space and integrating spatal structures into population and cmommunity models in order to increasetheir predictive power, application to several types of ecosystems (aquatic and terrestrial). Member Classification Society N. American (board directors 1986-1989).
Education
Legendre obtained an MSc in zoology from McGill University in 1969, and at age 25, he earned a PhD in biology from the University of Colorado in 1971.
