1904 shop foreman, Putilov Plant. Made the acquaintance of Father Gapon, who fell under his influence. After 5 January 1905 demonstration and massacre helped Gapon flee abroad and tried to persuade him to join SocialistRevol Party.
Summer 1905 tried to smuggle weapons to Russia with Steamship “John Crafton” but was detained. 28 March 1906, learning of Gapon’s ties with secret police, helped execute him in Ozerki near Saint St. Petersburg. Later switched from Socialist-Revol Party to Zionists.
Lived in Italy; 1917 returned to Russia and helped establish Zionist organisation. October 1917 assistant to Pctrograd governor North. M. Kishkin. 1919 in Odessa collaborated with French forces.
1922 emigrated to Palestine, where he held various exec posts in fuel and power companies.
