Sexuality, eroticism, physicality, oneness with nature, and the longing for cosmic union are recurring themes in her works. A colorful rush of sensual images is paired with musical elements; visual distortions and superimpositions, bleach-outs and
solarizations conjure up dream worlds, evoking states of intoxication.
1988 - becomes a member of the band Les Reines Prochaines (until 1994).
In 1992, she gained an international reputation with the film short Picke/porno. The camera tracks the physical coupling of lovers— their bodies intertwined, their gentle caresses—
and translates sensual impressions into various natural motifs such as flowers, clouds, and volcanic lava.
In 1997, she was the artistic director of the Swiss national exhibition Expo.01, and the same year was awarded the Duemila Prize at the 47th Venice Biennale.
2002-3 Paul McCarthy invites her to teach at University of California at Los Angeles.
In 2004, she won the 01 Award for extraordinary artistic achievements in the field of multimedia and was made an honorary professor at the Berlin University of the Arts.
