Kathryne (Mistress Clyde Erson Gwin). Ordained to Lutheran ministry, 1901. Successively pastor Pulaski, Virginia, Ehrhardt and Johnston, South Carolina., Holy Trinity, Hickory, North Carolina, until 1930, St. James Church, Concord, North Carolina, 1930-1934.

President Summerland, later Newberry (South Carolina.) College, 1913-1924, president Lenoir Rhyne College, Hickory, North Carolina, 1925-1926, 34-49. President North Carolina College Conference, 1945-1946.
