  • Achievements include research in Molecular epidemiology of Vibrio cholerae, Microbial pathogenesis, Antimicrobial activity from medicinal plant. Development of a Simple LLtex Agglutination Assay for Detection of Shiga Toxin-Producing escherichia coli (STEC) by using polyclonal antibody against STEC. Research in pathogenic potential of aeromonas hydrophila isolated from surface waters in Kolkat.

    Research in antibacterial, antisecretory and antihemorrhagic activity of Azadirachta indica used to treat cholera and diarrhea in India. Research in evaluation of the antimicrobial activity of some medicinal plants against enteric bacteria with particular reference to multi-drug resistant Vibrio cholerae.
