Youth career
Petrov started his career in Litex Lovech. He lately joined Vidima-Rakovski academy and eventually made a professional debut for the team in 2012. On 6 June 2014, Petrov joined Ludogorets Razgrad.
Ludogorets Razgrad
Petrov made his professional debut for the team on 9 August 2014 in match agnist PFC Lokomotiv Plovdiv.
In 2015-2016 season after creating of the 2nd teams, Petrov becoming a regular for Ludogorets Razgrad II in B Group.
