The prince was educated under private tutors.
Career
The prince was greatly interested in sports. From 1962 to 1975, he was the president of Nepal Olympic Committee. He also served as the president of Royal Nepal Golf Club, and, from 1961 to 1975, was the chairman of National Sports Council.
