Prince studied art from an early age, also becoming a painter.
Career
"Prince" is a given name, not a royal title. He was named for the painter"s brother, who was a sculptor. He became well known for his portraits and historical scenes.
Later in his life, Hoare wrote twenty plays.
He also wrote Memoirs of Granville Sharp (1820), based on the British abolitionist"s manuscripts, family documents and material from the African Institution, London.
