Career
She received her Doctor of Philosophy from the University of Maryland College Park in 1972. Shankar served as Professor at the Centre for Automation at the Indian Institute of Science (Indian Institute of Science), Bangalore. The Priti Shankar Library of Popular Mathematics and Science is housed in the UMED building of the Navnirmiti Learning Foundation.
